How to play Yukon Solitaire

Take a moment with Yukon Solitaire before moving to another game. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Look at what changes after your first action. Read the objective before making your first input. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.

Keep the aim in sight

Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules. Refer to the controls when needed.

Your goal

Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Follow this game’s rules rather than another version’s.

Step by step

  1. Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.

A useful example

A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Consider the next action carefully.

Watch out for this

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Check the rule before repeating the action. Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal.
