How to play Maze Adventure

Start Maze Adventure by looking at the playing area and its controls. Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Look at what changes after your first action. Check the rule that explains your first action. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.

Focus on one rule

Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow. Keep the objective visible.

Your goal

Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Keep the controls in easy reach.

Step by step

  1. Start from the upper-left cell.
  2. Move through openings using arrow keys or direction buttons.
  3. You may also tap a neighbouring cell connected by an open passage.
  4. Reach the gold exit or generate a new maze.

Controls

Arrow keys, on-screen direction buttons, or a click/tap on an adjacent reachable cell. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Contact us with the game and device if a control does not respond.

A useful example

If a wall blocks the cell to your right, try another opening; the token cannot move through walls. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Consider the next action carefully.

Watch out for this

Only immediately adjacent cells can be reached in one move. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
